Laura Wallene Mears Davis, age 64, of McMinnville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born in Woodbury, Tennessee, one of fifteen children to the late Jeff and Ollie Durham Mears, and was raised in Centertown.

Laura is survived by her two daughters, Tanya (Clint) Gaither of Readyville and Christina Forgey of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Austin) Stacey, Kenzlie Gaither, Lexi Earls, and Skylar Earls; and great grandchildren, Cory and Stella Stacey. She also leaves behind her siblings, Myrtle Cox, Roberta Collins, Maggie Lance, John (Valerie) Mears, James Mears, George Mears and Treva (Paul) Hutchins. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Daisy Bailey, Big James Mears, Carmen Mears, Thomas Mears, Sr., Joyce Davis, Charlie Mears, Edna Young, Margaret Tramel, Anita Reed and Aubrey Mears.

Laura will be remembered for the love she carried for her family. Even in her passing, she gave of herself through organ and tissue donation, leaving a legacy of hope and healing for others.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Unity Cemetery.
