Laura Marie Diaczuk

LAURA DIACZUK March 21, 1921 - July 27, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laura Marie Diaczuk, age 92, on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Laura was born in Prud'homme, Saskatchewan on March 21, 1921. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Jack in Dec. 08. They were longtime residents of Cedar, where they raised their 3 children. Sadly they lost their son, Ted in 1979 and their other son, Ronald in 1999. Laura is survived by her daughter, Carol (Allen) Akiyama, of Crofton; two daughters-in-law Bev of Cedar and Pat of Duncan; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Bill and the staff at Alpenrose Manor for the wonderful care she received. Also, big thanks to Dr. Eberhard and the nurses and staff at Cowichan District Hospital. A service will be held on August 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1775 Tzouhalem Road in Duncan, B.C. Interment will be held on Monday August 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.at Cedar Memorial Gardens in Cedar B.C. Condolences may be shared online at www.sandsduncan.ca
