Laura Ellen Folse passed away peacefully at her Noblesville home on June 15, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most. Laura lived a life defined by resilience, compassion, and quiet strength-qualities she carried with grace through every chapter of her life. Laura was born on April 3, 1949 and was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Catherine (Katy McDole) Folse, grandparents, Willard and Lucille (King) McDole, and by her beloved grandson, Jacob Daniel Thompson (Jakie Boy).
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Barker, and two daughters, Cathy Burgess and Christina Thompson (husband Isaac Thompson). Laura was a devoted grandmother to Lindsey Thompson (husband Kyle Thompson), Sarah Thompson (husband Christian Flatt), Katy Learned and Rickie Tishner. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Grace Carpenter, Noah and Rylee Learned, Mary Jo Thompson, and Gavin Learned. She is further survived by her nieces, Tina Moore and Lori West, and great niece, Lauren Rennaker and daughters, Lucy and Addison.
Laura is also lovingly remembered by her lifelong best friends, Jimmy and Ann (Pharis) Earl, and referred to Julie (Camp) Hiatt as a third daughter. They held a special place in her heart and were considered family in every sense.
Laura’s memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her quiet presence, warm spirit, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten.
A private family gathering will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to share a memory, a prayer, or a simple act of kindness in Laura’s name.
As she always said-“I love you more.”
