Vera Elizabeth Cedotal Folse, 88, a native of Belle Rose, Louisiana and resident of Houma, Louisiana, has passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 10, 2025, at St. Hilary Nativity Church in Raceland, from 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM with graveside service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Raceland.

Vera is survived by her husband of 68 years, Milton Joseph Folse Sr.; daughters: Edie Folse and Twila Bergeron (John); son: Byron Folse; brother: Calvin Cedotal; sister: Paula Brignac; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded by her parents: Cleveland J. and Wilhelmina D. Cedotal; son: Milton J. Folse Jr.; and her granddaughter: Courtney Prevost.

Vera was a lover of music and movement; she danced not just with her feet—but with her heart. Family was her world. She loved spending time with her family. Vera’s love was boundless. To her, no one was ever a stranger. Whether you'd known her for years or just met her that day, you walked away feeling seen, valued, and loved. Her kindness and open heart left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know her. And let’s not forget her adventurous spirit—especially when it came to the casino. She didn’t go just for the games, but for the thrill, the laughter, the stories shared over slot machines and lucky charms. Vera was loved by many and will be missed by all.

The family would like to give a special thank you to The Knights of Columbus Lady Auxiliary. They would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to her caregiver/ special friend Sharon Price for always helping in any way she could with Vera.

Falgout Funeral Home is honored to serve the Folse family.
