Laura passed away peacefully at her home with family at her side, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her
husband of 70 years, Lee Gardner.
Laura is survived by her sister Peggy (Moffitt) Perkins, her children: Fletcher (Helen) Gardner, Sterling Gardner, and Nellie
(Jerry) Fox; numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, great-great-grandkids... and Buttons.
Laura was a wonderful, loving wife, Mom, Grandma, homemaker, and friend to many. Laura enjoyed a full life, hunting,
fishing, growing her large gardens that she canned to help feed her family all year long. Laura shared her veggies. She
travelled the world.
Laura was a very talented artist, in every venue she ventured into - drawing, painting, photography, sewing, stained
glass, her beautiful cake decorating, and so much more.
Laura raised a few extra kids and many wild animals: 2 bear cubs, a raccoon or two, bottle-fed calves, baby pigs, a
coyote, a bobcat and a screech owl, just to name a few.
Laura will be missed by everyone that knew her.
A Celebration of Life to honor her will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Howonquet Hall, 101
Indian Court, Smith River, California. A Potluck will follow the Celebration.
