Laura Liang 陳�冀環 Chan

Our dear mother, Laura, born on February 2, 1933 in Shanghai, China, was the granddaughter of Liang Si Yi (�士詒). Her family moved to Hong Kong when she was 14 years old. She married our father, Milton, in 1957 and had three children. Mom and Dad had a successful venture in the hatchery business for more than 20 years in Hong Kong. In 1976, the family moved to the U.S. and lived in Tiburon and then Hillsborough. Once we graduated from college, Mom went back and forth between Hong Kong and California before she settled again in Hillsborough in 1997. After Dad passed in 2010, Mom moved to Foster City to be closer to her daughter. She spent the last year of her life enjoying time with her friends, family, children, and four beloved grandchildren. Mom suffered a brain aneurysm on March 22, and with her whole family by her side, she passed away a day later on her 55th wedding anniversary. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
