Laura Jean Mader, 68, of Marshall, died peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026 in Marshall.
Born September 3, 1957, in Salem, OR, she was the daughter of the late Louis Glenn Mader Bettty June Schunk Mader. Laura graduated, in 1989, with a degree in Nutrition from Oregon State University located in Corvallis, OR. Laura lived in Marshall for 8 years after moving from Salem, OR to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. Laura was known for her caring nature, gentle spirit, and kind smile. She loved to spend time gardening and with family.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Roder and her husband, Nathan Kane Roder of Marshall; 2 grandsons, Clayton Roder and Colby Roder; as well as her 4 siblings, Greg Scott, Debbie Braucht, Rick Scott, and Pam Ford.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
