Laura L. Marsh passed away on September 14, 2025 in her home in Wailua at the age of 75, following a 16 year struggle with Alzheimers Disease . She was born in 1949, in Santa Barbara, CA, and moved to Kauai with her husband, Frank, following the completion of their new home in 1997. She was a Registered Nurse, graduating from San Jose State University in 1973 and obtaining her Master's Degree In Nursing in 1986. As a Nurse Practitioner, she worked with the Veteran's Administration in Hospital Based Home Care in the San Francisco Bay Area and then later at the Center For Aging in Honolulu. Her patients and friends loved her sweet, loving, compassionate and caring personality. She gave freely of her time, volunteering for many organizations including the American Red Cross, serving as a Disaster Nurse Specialist in California, Missouri, Hawaii and in New York, following the Trade Center terrorist attacks in 2001. She and her husband were volunteer docents at Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens for 20 years and she loved tending to her own garden, especially her anthuriums and orchids. She loved to play her ukulele and to dance.

She was preceded in passing by her parents Evelyn Ayres and Russell Paige Sr. Laura is survived by her brothers Russell Paige and Martin Ayres, her sisters Nancy Moore and Barbara Harrison and by loving nieces, nephews and her many friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to the Mokihana Club, Hospice Kauai and to the Alzheimers Organization.

Kauai Memorial Gardens and Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary assisted with arrangements. She will be interred at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
