Laura Mae McGorry

Laura Mae (Hudson) McGorry, 68, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 while at Peak Resources in Shelby, NC. Laura was born in Burlington, NJ. She grew up with her parents and 8 siblings in Pemberton, NJ. She graduated from Pemberton Township High School in 1973. After graduating high school she married her best friend, Thomas McGorry. They were blessed with 3 children and 49 years of marriage.
Laura was a loving and caring person, she would help others without hesitation. She showed her caring nature best when she worked for ARC in Hainesport, NJ and also for many years as a CNA in a nursing home in Pemberton, NJ. She always went above and beyond for her children and husband, most often neglecting her own needs to make sure they didn't go without.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Thomas of Shelby, NC; daughter Jennifer Kayser (Timothy) of Norwich, CT; daughter Stephanie Webb (Bobby) of Shelby, NC; and son Thomas McGorry (Lesta) of Browns Mills, NJ. Laura is also survived by 6 grandchildren, as well as several siblings, nieces and nephews.
