Rose McGorry Obituary

Rose was born on July 8, 1931, in Rittman, to Charles and Hazel (Parker) Davis.
Her family would soon after move to Wadsworth, and that is where she would attend school, graduating with the class of 1949.
Rose married Paul Joseph "Joe" McGorry on June 19, 1950. Together they would raise four children. Summertime would find them traveling the country with their camper. They eventually visited 48 states, Canada, and Mexico. Rose and Joe were happily married for 30 years until his death in 1980.
Rose was a member of Saint Anne Catholic Church and Altar Society. She loved her flowerbeds and the hummingbirds and butterflies that would come to visit. Most importantly, she loved being Grandma Rose to 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Surviving are her two daughters, Jean (Lawrence) Meredith and Nora (Jim) Meade; and son, Dan (Beth) McGorry.
In addition to her parents and husband, a son, James Michael "Mick" McGorry; and a sister, Beulah Mae Wooster, passed away previously.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 139 S. First St., Rittman, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Services will follow at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Fr. Peter Morris officiating. Burial will take place at the Rittman Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church, 139 S. First St., Rittman, OH 44270 or Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
