Laura Oeser Obituary
A memorial service for Laura Ann Oeser is scheduled for November 5, 2025 beginning at 10 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Laura Ann Oeser (Leland Oeser), 69 of Nechanitz, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025 in La Grange, Texas. She was born in La Grange on July 3, 1956 to Anton Gustav Oeser and Lydia Viola Bertha (Hartfiel) Oeser. She graduated from Round Top-Carmine High School and later earned her degree from TSTI in December of 1976.
Laura worked as an automation tech in the oil field for about 30 years where she was admired for being a wonderful teacher and mentor. She retired in 2017 from Anadarko Petroleum, however, came out of retirement working as a diesel mechanic in Giddings. Laura, also a pilot, enjoyed flying and most of all raising cattle and ranching her land in Nechanitz.
She is survived by cousins and many great friends. She will be dearly missed by those that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helen Ann Oeser.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter, Waldeck Lutheran Church or to the Round Top – Carmine High School.
