Laura was born on January 24, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan, to Marlene (Bob) Sheffield and Joseph Pakledinaz. She grew up in Saint Clair Shores and went to Lakeshore high school.
Laura's greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother. She often spoke of how special motherhood was to her and how proud she was watching "her girls" become mothers themselves. She will be remembered for her creativity, her generosity and her simple but enduring mantra: "Be a good person."
Laura is survived by her daughters, Haley (John) Cintron and Carly (Warren) Haning; her grandchildren, Claire and Elliot. Additionally, her life-long friend, Sofia Thompson and her beloved cat, Buddy;
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a service at 6:00 p.m., at Wasik Funeral Home – Gendernalik Chapel, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore.
