Laura Puente Obituary
Laura had a heart that knew no bounds. She loved fiercely, perhaps too much at times, but that love was her greatest gift. An incredible cook, she could turn the simplest meal into a feast for the soul. She found joy in books, gardening, in long conversations with friends, and in helping those the world too often forgot. She saw the ones who needed kindness most and never hesitated to give it.
Her presence was a light in the lives of so many, and though she is gone, that light will never dim. She lives on in the stories we tell, the meals we cook with love, and the kindness we extend to others in her honor.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her two children, Cynthia and Eric; and her four cherished grandchildren, Aurora, Kai, Olivia and Clarissa, who will carry her warmth and kindness forward. She is also survived by her devoted parents, Agustin and Beatriz; her beloved brother, Jaime; her sister, Cookie; and her soulmate, John, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Her baby corgi, Peanut, will miss her gentle touch and unwavering love.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite A, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Celebration of Life: 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, in Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; followed by interment in Greenwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by sharing a meal with someone in need, offering a helping hand, helping a dog or simply loving as deeply as she did.
Rest easy, dear Lali, Mom, and Mimi. You are so loved, and you will be missed beyond measure.

Losing Laura, my dear sweet friend, has left a hole in my heart that no one can replace. I will never forget her amazing cooking and how she brought all the food for my college graduation party 33 years ago. But that was Laura, a true servant to others. She always enjoyed helping others, and yes, organization was definitely her superpower. I will never forget Laura, a friend like no other.
