In Loving Memory of Richard Albarran Jr.
December 7, 1999 – October 19, 2025
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Albarran Jr., who departed this world on October 19, 2025, in Haltom City, Texas, at the young age of 25. Born on December 7, 1999, in Deland, Florida, Richard brought with him a light that would touch the lives of everyone who knew him.
From the very beginning, Richard was known for his gentle heart, his sharp mind, and a quiet strength that spoke volumes without many words. As a child, he was remarkably clean and organized. As an adult, he worked hard, never afraid of putting in the effort needed to support those he loved, and always made time for laughter, loyalty, and the simple joys of life.
Richard was the beloved son of Richard Albarran Sr. and the late Asminda Albarran. He carried both of their spirits within him-his father's resilience and his mother's warmth and compassion. He was a loving brother to Miguel, Angel, and Carlos Albarran, with whom he shared not only blood, but an unbreakable bond of friendship, brotherhood, and mutual respect.
Raised in the Catholic faith, Richard's spirituality was not just a belief but a way of life. He found comfort, joy, and peace in his faith, and his devotion was evident in his excitement every Sunday morning as he prepared for church. His relationship with God grounded him, guiding him through life's highs and lows with grace and humility.
Richard's passions were many, and his zest for life showed in everything he did. A true lover of football, Richard was a proud supporter of the Miami Dolphins, cheering for his team with unwavering loyalty. His competitive spirit extended into the world of video games, where he enjoyed both the challenge and camaraderie. But perhaps where Richard's soul shined the brightest was in music.
Music was his sanctuary. It filled his days and inspired his dreams. Whether he was listening to his favorite artist, Billie Eilish, or freestyling his own verses, music allowed Richard to express the thoughts and feelings that words alone could never capture. He had a natural rhythm, a poetic heart, and an appreciation for lyrics that touched the soul.
Movies were another cherished pastime for Richard-he loved immersing himself in stories, often watching them with friends or during quiet moments of reflection. Time with his friends meant everything to him; their laughter, support, and shared memories were treasures he held close to his heart.
Richard's love for seafood was known by all-family gatherings often featured dishes he enjoyed, and he could light up at the mention of a good meal. He never needed grand things to be happy. For Richard, happiness lived in the small, sacred moments: a good song, a Sunday morning mass, a dinner with loved ones, or a conversation that made him laugh until he cried.
Richard leaves behind a family who cherished him beyond words. He is survived by his father, Richard Albarran Sr.; his brothers, Miguel, Angel, and Carlos Albarran; his grandparents, Eladia and Jose Albarran, and Aaron and Nicolasa Huerta; and a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will carry his memory in their hearts always.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Asminda Albarran; his uncle, Javier Huerta; and his great-grandmother, Virginia Cerdenas-souls we believe welcomed him with open arms and eternal peace.
To know Richard was to know someone deeply thoughtful, quietly courageous, and endlessly loyal. Though his time on earth was far too brief, the impact he left is indelible. His legacy lives on in the stories we tell, the music we play, and the faith we hold close when we think of him.
Rest easy, Richard. May your soul find eternal rest in the embrace of heaven, and may your spirit continue to inspire all those who loved you. You were, and always will be, deeply loved and dearly missed.
