Christopher Blake Hodges, age 50, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on his birthday, October 7, 2025. Born in Liberal, Kansas, on October 7, 1975, Christopher lived a life full of love, faith, and compassion for others.
Christopher is survived by his loving parents, Kevin and Sherrie Legendre; his cherished daughter Calista and her husband Matthew Froonjian; his brothers, Jeremy Hodges and Tyler Legendre; and his grandmother, Beverly Legendre. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts and uncles: Kenny & Heidi Legendre, Keith Legendre, Kelly Legendre & Cindy, Vicki & Allen Lem, Mike & Kathleen Hodges, and Tina & James Wadleigh. His memory will also be carried on by his nieces, nephews, and cousins: Alyssa Hodges, Marissa Hodges, Zavier Legendre, Molly Harris, Katie & Andrew Taggart, Madyson Braley, Desirae & Aaron Witt, Jude Witt, and Leland & Megan Lem.
He is preceded in death by his precious daughter, Shianna Jane Hodges; grandmother, Daisy Pitchforth; cousins, Danny Legendre and Nicholas Legendre; great-grandparents, Francis and Rose Legendre; grandfather, Phillippe Legendre; uncle, Kip Legendre; and grandparents, Leo (Hawk) and Laura Olmstead.
Christopher was a loving son, devoted father, and a loyal friend. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. With a heart full of empathy, he stood up fiercely for his children, his friends, and the beliefs he held dear. He loved unconditionally and without judgment, extending kindness to all, no matter their background or story.
A man of deep faith, Christopher believed in the power of God's love and grace. He often shared his testimony with those who needed hope, especially those he encountered on the streets. His life was a reflection of compassion, courage, and conviction.
Christopher will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and unwavering belief in the goodness of others will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A celebration of Christopher's life will be held at a later date.
