Laura Tarrant, 95, of Campbell went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2025. Laura was born on January 25, 1930 to Emmitt and Lorene Bryant at their home in Campbell,Texas. She attended school at Sullivan and Campbell Schools. On July 16, 1947 she married Al Tarrant, the love of her life. Together they had three children. She was a devoted wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother. She loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cumby. She taught Sunbeams, GA’s, Bible School and later on in life the Sunshine Class. If the church doors were open, she was there. She loved being a homemaker, her plants, cooking, art and sweeping.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers-in-law Albert Isham and Carroll Thompson.
She is survived by her three sisters: Frances Isham of Campbell, Linda Thompson of Greenville, and Glenda Mahrer and Husband Bobb of Greenville; her children: Johnny Tarrant of Campbell, Jerry Tarrant and wife Patty of Campbell, and Kay Crumpton and husband Dale of Cumby; grandchildren: Kody Crumpton and wife Kim, Chad Crumpton and wife Jennifer, Becky Bearden and husband Brine, Daniel Tarrant and wife Cindy, DeAnna Robertson and husband Cody, and Carolyn Longoria and husband Michael; great-grandchildren Kyle Crumpton and wife Courtney, Kolton Crumpton and wife Jalah, Tyler Crumpton and wife Lettie, Wesley Crumpton, Lizzie Crumpton, Blake Bearden, Wylee Crumpton, Madyson Tarrant, Audrey Tarrant, Mac Tarrant, Brody Tarrant, Lizzy Tarrant, Ryan Tarrant, Allison Robertson, Hannah Robertson, Joseph Longoria and Jonah Longoria; great-grandchildren: Carter Crumpton, Kinsley Crumpton, Waylon Crumpton and Parker Jo Crumpton.
Laura lived life her life to the fullest and she made the world around her a better place. She will be missed by many, but she now resides in her heavenly home.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Jones-Walker & Son Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Tarrant officiating and Kyle Crumpton, Kolton Crumpton, Tyler Crumpton, Wesley Crumpton, and Joseph Longoria serving as pallbearers and Blake Bearden and Jonah Longoria serving as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery in Campbell, Texas following the service.
