Laura Mae Wilson was born on December 9,1934 in Augusta, Georgia. To the late Helen Morris and Steiner Wilson. Laura was the fourth of seven children. She entered into eternal rest on the evening of October 3, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Wilson, and sons, Clifford Lee Wilson, Leroy Baskin, Cedric Wilson and Lorenzo Baskin.
Laura was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools System. She was employed with Sears, Roebuck and Co. for many years and later transitioned into a career of patient care until her retirement.
She was an active and faithful member of First Corinth Missionary Baptist Church where she served for over fifty years. She's known for her straightforward and frank personality. You could always count on her to tell it like it was, no sugarcoating. She loved baseball and the Atlanta Braves. She will be remembered for her sharp wit and playing a "mean" hand of spades at family gatherings.
Laura leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Earnestine Riggins; sons, Curtis Moore and Ritthar Banks; sister, Mary Boyd; beloved grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
