Laurance "Larry" Williamson

November 26, 1959 – July 27, 2025

Laurance "Larry" Williamson passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 65. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend whose quiet strength, compassion, and deep love for the land and people shaped a life of purpose and service.
Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Alexis Keir; his parents, Laurance Williamson Sr. and Freda Mae Minyard Williamson; and his nephew, W.A. Martin Jr.

He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Williamson (husband Derrell Fowler) and Karen Martin (husband Tony); his brother, Billy Williamson (wife Tobi); and many cherished nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory close.
Larry spent his career helping others, working for many years as an EMT. In the 1980s, he served in Honduras as a Peace Corps volunteer, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to serving those in need. His work, both at home and abroad, was a reflection of his selfless spirit and strong sense of duty.

A true outdoorsman, Larry loved spending his time fishing and farming-two passions that connected him to nature and brought him peace. Whether tending crops or casting a line, he found joy in the simple, steady rhythms of life.
Larry's legacy is one of quiet service, deep integrity, and a love for family and the land. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
