Laurel A. Holte

Laurel Holte, 68, Velva, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in her home.
Laurel Adair Sullivan was born on October 15, 1956, in Minot to Edwin and Elva (Horner) Sullivan. She was raised and educated in Velva and graduated from Velva High School. On June 7, 1988, Laurel was united in marriage to Timothy Holte. Laurel worked in daycare most of her life.
She was loved by everyone who knew her. She was very optimistic, always keeping a positive mindset. Laurel loved to laugh, have fun, and be silly. She always put the needs of others above her own and was the definition of unconditional love. Laurel was truly the best mother and wife a family could ask for.
She loved listening to music, dancing, socializing, and spending time with her friends and family. She took great pride in taking care of others. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the Seahawks, going out to eat and vacationing whenever she got the chance. Laurel was a member of the Velva Methodist Church.
Laurel is survived by her husband, Timothy Holte, Velva; sons, Braden and Ethan Holte, both of Minot; sisters, Gwenith Tomlinson, and Joette Racine; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gloria Christianson, Mrytle Hasbrook, and Janeen Martinson; and brothers, Wayne and Larry Sullivan.
Memorial Service: Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
