She was born on July 30, 1954, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, to Ralph and Doreen Wynkoop Anderson. Laurie's life was marked by her selfless nature and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others.
Laurie's journey was shared with her beloved husband of 15 years, Robert Cedillo Rodriguez, with whom she built a life filled with love after marrying April 10, 2010. She was a nurturing mother to her children, Katie Eck and husband Terrance, Matthew Kaltman, Kristie Black and husband Philip, Drew Roberts and wife Jessica, Christopher Rodriguez and fiancée Liliana, Robert Carlos Rodriguez, and Marysol Rodriguez Munoz and husband Mario. Laurie's legacy of love continues to live on through her brother, Ralph Anderson Jr. and wife Carole; as well as 8 cherished grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Ralph Anderson Sr. and Doreen Wynkoop; sister, Christine Anderson; aunt, Beatrice Foote; and step-mother, Jeanie McDade.
Laurie dedicated herself to the noble calling of being a therapy dog trainer. Her work spanned hospitals, schools, Veterans Affairs facilities, hospices, and nursing homes, where she touched countless lives with her dedicated and loving involvement. Her innate ability to understand the healing power of animals made her an indispensable part of the communities she served.
