Laurie Jo (Keller) Barczuk passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at the age of 69. Born and raised in Wayne, Michigan, Laurie built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and kindness. She raised her children in Livonia before making her home in Brighton in recent years.

Laurie is survived by her devoted husband, Craig Barczuk; her loving children, Christopher Barczuk, Daniel Barczuk, and Krysten (Barczuk) Maldonado; and her cherished grandchildren, Castle Barczuk-Babineau, Brooks Barczuk, Harper Barczuk, Margot Maldonado, and Ivy Maldonado. She also leaves behind countless friends and extended family who were blessed to know her generous spirit.

Laurie's greatest passion was her family. She was the ultimate hockey mom, cheering on Chris and Dan through years of practices and games, and just as enthusiastically supporting Krysten in soccer, dance, and pompon. She spent countless hours driving to and from activities, never seeing it as a chore, but as a joy. As a grandmother, her dedication only grew-whether braving rush-hour traffic to make a baseball game or sending seasonal packages filled with matching outfits and beautiful dresses to her granddaughters in Tennessee, she delighted in showing her love through presence and thoughtfulness.

In high school, Laurie's leadership and warmth shone brightly-she was both class president and homecoming queen. Throughout her life, she carried those same qualities into everything she did. She worked hard, showed up for the people she loved, and believed deeply in kindness. She taught her children the importance of making sure everyone felt included, a value that will live on through them and through all those she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Imagine Peace Park; 19265 Gerald Ave, Northville, MI 48167. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering Laurie's incredible life and the love she shared so freely.

Laurie's legacy is one of unwavering devotion, openhearted generosity, and a belief that kindness can change the world-starting with the people closest to you. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
