Laurie K. Bartee

BARTEE, Laurie K. (Kozachuk), of Cambridge, Passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 51. Born in Dorchester to Carol Kozachuk (Ryles) and the late Gregory Kozachuk. Beloved wife of 21 years to Christopher of Cambridge. Adored and loving mother of Madison and Melody Bartee. Dear sister of the late Stephanie Mack and her surviving husband Walter of Randolph MA, Stephen Emmons of Norfolk MA, Lynne Emmons-Boyd and her husband Steven of Pocasset MA, Joseph Emmons, Jr. and his wife Roxanne of Griffin GA, Cindy McKinnon and her husband Christopher of Rockland MA, twin sister Sandi Brooks and her husband James of Arlington MA. She is predeceased by her niece Leslie Boyd. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Laurie was a proud Nurse and Lactation Specialist at Cambridge Health Alliance; was a graduate of C.R.LS, earned her Associate's degree from Mass Bay, her Bachelor's degree from UMass of Lowell, RN, IBCLC. Laurie was awarded in 2021 the MNA Excellence in Nursing Practice. She had a passion for helping those in need. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Staying true to Laurie's beliefs - it was decided by Laurie's family to donate her organs after her passing. By donating her organs, she not only shared part of herself with others in need but also gave her family, during their time of great grief, pride to know that in her absence, she was still caring and helping others
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 4-7 pm in St. John's Church, 2254 Mass Ave., in North Cambridge. All attendees are kindly asked to enter through the Mass Ave. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in the Church at 11am. Burial will be Private.
