Teri Kathleen Ross Bartee passed away on September 25, 2025, at her home in Tooele, Utah, surrounded by her husband Steve Bartee and her children.

Teri was born on May 28, 1950, in Los Angeles, Calfornia, to Donald Kenneth Ross and Dorothy Joanne Ghiotto Howe.

Teri's youth was spent scraping her tomboy knees while wearing pretty dresses and spending a lot of time with her grandmother, Florence Ghiotto in Los Angeles. She married her high school sweetheart, Brian McKane in Los Angeles, California, in July 1967. She and Brian started a family and raised nine children. After starting in Los Angeles, Teri and Brian moved to Cedar City, Utah, then to Huntington Beach, California, and finally settling in South Jordan, Utah. All the while the family grew and Teri dedicated her life to raising her children.

Teri enjoyed being outdoors and spent many summer days at the beach with her children and camping with her family and friends in the mountains of Utah. Teri loved a good mountain thunderstorm. She spent countless hours attending sports practices and games, dance recitals and parent teacher conferences. She loved her family and found her greatest happiness just being near them. She set an example to her family and friends of being kind and resilient. She found a love in serving her community as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for the South Jordan Utah Fire Department for many years. She was a capable first aid and CPR instructor with the Utah Emergency Medical Training Council.

Teri married Steve Bartee in 1996, in Riverton, Utah. Steve, an accomplished musician, introduced Teri to the world of musical instrument repair and she worked alongside Steve at the repair bench honing her newfound skills. Teri and Steve lived in Utah, Nevada, California, and Texas throughout their time together.

Teri is survived by her loving husband Steve Bartee who has always been by her side, her sister Carole Shroll, brother Christopher Jones, her children: Susan Castiglia, Brian McKane (Dawn), Andrew McKane (Heather), Amy McCloy (Greg), Mark McKane (Reagan), Kristen Searle (Hoyt), Josh McKane (Elisa), Luke McKane, Holly Ormond (Dave)…and her 31 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible care team at Active Home Health, Hospice & Personal Care and all the dedicated medical professionals who visited and cared for her.

Teri was a passionate animal lover and in her honor, the family asks friends and family to be kind to all the pets and critters out there.
