Laurie Jo Wheeler, 63, passed from this life July 4, 2024. She is now free to join her father, Charlton Wheeler, aunts and uncles, along with her horse and dogs. She was a unique and special person. Given a chance, Laurie stole your heart, changed your perspective and gained acceptance. She is survived by her mother, Delores Wheeler, sisters Kathy (Duane) Dilts, Teri (Kelly) Perrin and Jean Wheeler along with nieces, great nieces and nephews. The family wants to specifically thank the excellent staff of Heartland Care Center in Marcus as well as the fine Cherokee Hospice workers. A private family service will be determined at a later date.
