Lavelle Cossey White was born on September 3, 1930, to William and Ruth Hodges Cossey. She passed from this life July 15, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
On October 23, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold Vernon White, who preceded his wife in death on March 27, 1995.
Lavelle was a lifetime resident of Savannah, Tennessee and a member of New Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She worked at Brown Shoe and Angelica. Lavelle enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a selfless soul and would always help anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold V. White; parents, William and Ruth Hodges Cossey; daughter, Mackie Adams; granddaughter, Beth White; five brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Carol) White and Keith White; 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 17 great great grandchildren.
