Lavilla Thibodeaux Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory - Broussard on Feb. 4, 2026.
Lavilla "Granny" Thibodeaux born on November 24, 1946, passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 79.

She is now joined again with her beloved husband of 51 years, James "Pop" Thibodeaux.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Roland Thibodeaux (Tamara) of Broussard, Everett Thibodeaux (Chantel) of Erath, Shellie Thibodeaux (Shane) of Abbeville, and Aleathea Daigle (David) of Youngsville; her seven grandsons, Ryan Louviere (Ariel), Logan Louviere, Kelby Henry (Heidi), Tyler Bergeron (Stefanie), Jesse Bergeron (Bree), Ross Connor, and Huntor Daigle; great grandchildren, Ella, Damion, Raymond, Alice, Emmalyn, Easton, Ellisyn, Asher, and Isabelle; her special friend whom was like a son, Clyde Romero; and her dear grand pups, Sadie, Piper, Bode, Braxton, Bessi, Louis, Charlie and Roux.

Lavilla was a native of Welsh, LA and long-term resident of Erath, LA. Being a mom was her greatest love and joy of her life. She was "Mom" or "Granny" to everyone she met, accepted everyone for who they were and loved deeply and endlessly. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She never let you leave her house without a hug, an "I love you" and waving goodbye from her porch. She loved cooking fried chicken for her family and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.

She will be missed dearly.

Special thanks to the staff at Community Healthcare Home health team Micah, Theresa and Laurie; her Hospice team Zach, Clarissa, Matt and Valerie as well as Director Dawn Dugas for their tremendous compassion, care and support they have shown to our family and our mother during her time of need.

A private gathering is being held for the immediate family.
