Ms. Glenney Henry Thibodeaux

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church for Ms. Glenney Henry Thibodeaux, 86, who passed away on February 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette, La.

Visitation will be held at Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM until her service begins at 1:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM by the Ladies Altar Society.

The Very Reverend Keith A. Pellerin, V.F. will be officiating, and burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Jennings, LA, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ned Thibodeaux.

Ms. Glenney was born in Church Point, LA on February 3, 1940, to the late Mr. Colbert Henry and Mrs. Angel Daigle Henry, both of Church Point, LA. Ms. Glenney was a proud parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church where she served as a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Of all her accomplishments, Glenney was most proud of her role as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her heart overflowed with love for her family, friends and cats. In her spare time, she loved to read and watch her favorite gameshows. Her cherished memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Ms. Glenney is survived by her daughter, Liz Rea and her son, Dan Thibodeaux (Denise); six grandchildren, Kandice Rea, Kelsi Rea (Trent Youngblood), Kassidi Thibodeaux, Ansleigh Thibodeaux (Shane Kennedy), Owen Thibodeaux and Emma Thibodeaux; four great-grandchildren, Aubree Hughes, Adlee Liprie, Evie Youngblood and Ruth Youngblood; sisters, Lela Stelly and Theresa Nevle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Colbert Henry and Angel Daigle Henry; her husband, Ned Daniel Thibodeaux; sisters, Delia Thibodeaux and Pearl Johnson; brother, Colbert Henry, Jr.
