Lavina Drucilla Striplin

Lavina Drucilla Striplin, 82, of Eureka Springs; passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at her home in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She was born Monday, April 6, 1942, at Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Douglas Britton King and Drucilla Pearl Smith King.
Lavina married James Ray Striplin on December 27, 1960, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Together, they raised three children. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother. She had a heartfelt passion for playing the piano and was a dedicated member of the Assembly of God church, where she expressed her faith through songwriting and sharing music. She had a love for tending to her flowers and feeding the birds, finding beauty in the simple moments of life.
Lavina was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Britton King and Drucilla Pearl King.
She is survived by her husband, James Ray Striplin; her Son Durwin Ray Striplin, and his Wife Caryn, of Mount Ulla, North Carolina; her Daughter, Devonna Gwen Striplin-Moringo, and her Husband Guillermo, of Paraguay, South America; her Son Dwayne Douglas Striplin, and his Wife Elizabeth, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; as well as seven Grandchildren, and nine Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her Brother, J.K. King, and his Wife Gwen, of Los Alamos, New Mexico; her Brother, Douglas Wade King, of Tucson, Arizona; and her Sister, Beverly Barrett, of Phoenix, Arizona.
