LaVon Carol Rasband, 85, passed away peacefully Sept 28, 2024, in Layton, Utah. She was born LaVon Carol Tiffany, March 13, 1939, to Lawrence George Tiffany and Lillian Elizabeth Moser Tiffany in Salt Lake City, Utah. Carol graduated from Olympus High School in 1957. She married Russell Bourne Rasband on August 20, 1957, in Salt Lake City and later divorced. They had four children: Corrie, Sandi, Shelley, and Brian. Their family traveled a lot in their younger years.
Carol was employed by the Department of Work Force Services of the State of Utah and worked briefly for Apple Village Assisted Living in Layton.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was in Major Meadows Ward in Clearfield, Utah, before moving to assisted living in Layton, Utah. She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers and was a cancer survivor.
Carol was an accomplished piano player. She had a great sense of humor and was generous to all she knew. She and Shelley loved shopping for presents for people.
She is survived by her sister Laura Lee Wilson (Matthew), daughters Corrie Hamblin (Brett), Shelley Jo Rasband, and Sandi Davies (Art), eight grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. LaVon Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Tiffany, her sister Michelle Krager, and her son Russell Brian Rasband.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at Apple Village Assisted Living and Symbii Hospice care for their good care of Carol.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday October 9, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit family Tuesday October 8, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main Street Kaysville, Utah, and Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the mortuary.
