LaWanda Jean Castle (80) went home to be with her Lord on August 24th, 2025, in Dade City, Florida. Jean was born to Mr. Theodore Melvin Hiott and LaWanda Juanita Hiott (nee Craig) on October 17th, 1944, in Miami, Florida. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Lucille King, Her parents TM and LaWanda Hiott and husband and the love of her life Johnnie E. Castle. She is survived by her brother John Hiott (Brenda) of Wilmington Delaware, her sons Theodore Alan Jeffries (Mia) of San Antonio, Florida and William H Jeffries Jr (Nora) of Dade City, Florida. Bonus sons Allen Castle (Marianne) of Greeneville Tennessee, David Castle (Sandy) of Dade City, Andy Castle (Angie) of Dade City and Tim Castle (Silva) of Trilby, Florida and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jean was a graduate of Zephyrhills High School in 1962 and a 50+ year resident d Dade City. She retired in 2007 and after 32 years of serving the residents of Pasco County, Florida as the Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court for Pasco County. Jean loved her Lord and was a good and faithful servant, touching many lives along the way and was a faithful member of New River Methodist Church. She lived her life of Faith in a steadfast, but humble manner, knowing that her salvation was by grace alone in Christ alone.
