James Steven "Jim" Castle, 67, of Blountstown, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Jim was born on September 8, 1957 in Bowling Green, KY. He attended Warren High School, graduating in 1974. Jim went on to attend Western Kentucky University, where he was a member of the Sigma Fi Ep fraternity. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and continued his career in Civil Service as an Environmentalist, working with wastewater. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed scuba diving, fishing and spending time at the beach. Above all, Jim very much loved his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bradley and Lois Jenora Castle; and grandparents, James Samuel and Zelma Lee Carrigan.

Left to treasure his memory is the mother of his child and his spouse of over ten years, Geneva Castle; daughter, Genesis Tremblay (Phillip); grandchildren, Kayliana Tremblay and Kayleb Tremblay; sister, Rebecca Olbon; nieces and nephews, Nate Olbon and Tara Olbon; friends, Steve Snell, Steve Zengel and Bradley Netherly; and pets, Ginger, Harley, Sugar, Coco and Nessie.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
