Publish in a newspaper

Frank Wimberly Gorham, Jr., 87, of Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who lived a full life of service, accomplishment, and passion for aviation.

Born in 1938, Frank was a proud member of the second graduating class of the United States Air Force Academy. He went on to serve his country as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force, a role that shaped his discipline, dedication, and lifelong love of flying.

After retiring from the Air Force, Frank began a successful career with Chevron. Following his retirement from Chevron, he returned to his first love - aviation - earning his CFI and CFII certificates and serving as Chief Flight Instructor for Precision Avjet. He later became a business partner and Chief Instructor for Precision Flight Training, where he taught and mentored pilots for more than 15 years.

Frank was also deeply involved in competition aerobatics alongside his son, Kevin. Together, they shared many years in the aerobatic community, highlighted by Frank's proudest achievement - winning the U.S. National Aerobatic Championship in 2002.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Faye Gorham; his son, Curtis Gorham; his grandson, Chandler (Madi) Gorham; his granddaughter, Camryn Gorham; his brother, Ed (Pam) Gorham; his great-grandsons, Greyson and Heydon Gorham; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne (Terri) Myren and Morley (Val) Myren and a host of extended family

He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Gorham; his daughter, Sandra Gorham; his sisters, Pat and Phillis Gorham; his parents, Frank W. Gorham, Sr. and Mable Gorham; and his parents-in-law, Andrew and Elsie Myren; his aunt, Blanch Yancey.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Friday, August 29, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home, Panama City. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
