William Curtis "Junior" McKeithen

William Curtis "Junior" McKeithen, 76 of Vernon went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2025. He was born to the late William Curtis McKeithen, Sr. and Minnie Eunice Pettis McKeithen in Panama City on December 24, 1948.
Junior graduated from Vernon High School in 1966 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he began his career in law enforcement, working as a Deputy for the Washington County Sheriff's Office from 1974 to 1975, and later as an officer with the Port St. Joe Police Department.
He spent the remainder of his life working as an ironworker-a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. Junior was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing, two of his favorite pastimes.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Summer Toole and Tammy Jo Hudson; sons, Randy McKeithen and Chad McKeithen; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Frank McKeithen and sister, Kathy Ward. Also left to cherish his memory are a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Calvary Hill Pentecostal Church, 3652 Roche Ave. Vernon. Funeral Services will be held at the church at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Tim Bush officiating. Mr. McKeithen will be laid to rest with full military honors immediately following the service in Ferguson Cemetery, Wausau.
