Lawrence W. Berry, Sr of Middletown, DE, passed away on Oct. 18, 2025.
Lawrence Winfield Berry Sr., son of the late Evelyn Mary Haman and beloved father, Wilson Haman II (biological father, Malichi Adams), was born July 29, 1942, at home in Armstrong, DE.
He was affectionately called Dad, Pop-Pop, Pop, Grandfather, Old Man, Cubby
and Larry by his community, family, and friends. He received his education at Louis L. Redding School in Middletown, DE. He was employed for over 30 years at Chrysler of Newark and retired in 1999. He was also employed by Grimminger's Bakery in Middletown, DE. Amongst his employment, he was also an owner of L.B.'s Janitorial Services, where he employed grandsons, Kennjuan Berry & Darrell Harvey Jr., for a period of time.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Pamela, Pandora & Juanita Berry and one son, Lawrence Berry Jr., a nephew who he raised as his own, Mark Brokenbrough and his grandson Kennjuan Berry, also raised as his own, Raheem Haman & Christopher Cale, a
brother, Wilson Haman III (Jane), late sister, Mary Brown (Donald), two living sisters, Shirley Cale (Franklin) & Constance Yellowdy (Darryl) and late beloved sister Betty Todd, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, a dedicated friend, Jane Stevenson, a dedicated cousin, Joseph Archie Sr., a special niece Angela Williams, and special friends Kim & Quincy Ware & Author Parker. He also has a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lawrence Berry Sr. enjoyed playing cards with his family, going to bingo, visiting the casino, having family gatherings, going fishing, sitting on his front porch, working out in his yard, riding his bike, and listening to one of his favorite musicians, Barry White. He was a very loving father and a good man. He gave not only what he wanted but what was needed, always in a loving manner.
His presence will truly be missed!

A viewing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1st, from 9-11 am at Connection Community Church, 4744 Summit Bridge Rd., Middletown, DE, with a service beginning at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mount Pisgah UAME Church Cemetery.
