Pamela Anne Castro

Pamela Anne Castro, 76, of Middletown, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Pamela was born on May 18, 1949, in Ithaca, New York, to the late George and Eleanor
(Brown) Trimberger. She attended the University of Wisconsin, 1971, where she received a degree from the School of Human Ecology. Pamela worked for Modern Furniture Barn in Armonk, NY, as an Interior Designer for 7 years. She then focused on raising her family as a stay-at-home mom for 11 years. Later, she worked for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County as a Food and Nutrition Program Assistant in 1990 for 5 years and in 1995 as a 4-H Educator for 14 years. She retired on January 4, 2010. She was a member of the National Association of 4-H Youth Development Professionals and PEO.
Pamela enjoyed family gatherings, traveling the world, national parks, attending grandchildren's activities, and socializing with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mickey Trimberger, and her sister, Ellen Kay Trimberger.
Pamela is survived by her husband of 51 years, Andrew Castro, her children, Andrea Doyle of West Henrietta, NY, Peter Castro (Nicole) of Williamsville, NY and Nicholas Castro (Candice) of Dover, DE, her grandchildren, Maddie and William Castro (Peter's children), Abby and Emily Castro (Nicholas's children), and Ian and Ryan Doyle (Andrea's children).
A time of visitation with family will be held on Monday, November 3rd, from 9-10 am at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, DE 19709, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Parish, 371 E. Main St., Middletown, DE.
