Lawrence Ray Brown

 

Lawrence Ray Brown, 72, of Reidsville passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 23, 2023.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29th, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Surrett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Ray was born in San Antonio Texas to the late Billie and Doris Brown. He enlisted and served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Tool and Die maker for Stihl  Inc. and TYCO eventually retiring with over 30 years in the industry. Ray was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Most of all he loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Buchanan; sister, Barbara Reynolds.

Ray is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elaine Sepsi Brown; son, Bryan Buchanan (Amanda); grandchildren, Nathaniel Buchanan, Nolan, and Mary Buchanan; sister, Carolyn Hunter; brother, Ronnie Brown (Sandy), Rudy Brown (Drema) as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the North Carolina Chapter of the ALS association or Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist ALS Clinic.
