Lawrence J. Busini, a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man, passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on January 16, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York to his parents Joseph and Christina Busini, he led a life marked by kindness, care, and a profound sense of duty.
Lawrence proudly served his country as a veteran of the Korean War. He brought the same commitment to his career as a Maintenance Supervisor for Madona Heights School, where he was known for his diligent work ethic and genuine concern for others.
He is survived by his loving son, Joseph Busini, along with Pamela and his daughter, Nina, along with her husband Joseph Whatmough. Lawrence delighted in the company of his grandchildren: Kris, Joseph, Thomas, and Samantha. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Joseph and Tobias, who brought immense joy to his heart.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc. in Deer Park, NY. The first visitation will start at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM, followed by another session from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park at 11:15 AM.
Lawrence J. Busini’s legacy will certainly live on in the memories of those who loved him. His family and friends will remember him for his unwavering love, dedication, and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
