Lawrence Paul Carcich, affectionately known by his family and friends as Larry, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
He was born on January 10, 1949, to Joseph and Mary Carcich in Astoria-Queens, New York. He has been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1992. Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division, serving in the Vietnam War and was an avid sports fan. He was a member of the Professional Bowler’s Association and a former semi-pro hockey player. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and attending sporting events for his children and grandchildren. Larry was fiercely proud and supportive of his family in all their endeavors.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-four years, Janice Carcich, his son, John Phillip Radich, and his parents. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Christy) Carcich and Andrew (Mallory) Carcich; his three granddaughters, Kyrstyn, Katelynn, and Kamryn Carcich; his brother, Raymond (Marie) Carcich; and a host of other family members and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Blvd., Biloxi, MS 39531). There will be a reception and celebration of life immediately to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local Department of Veterans Affairs.
