Lawrence C. Dawson - died peacefully at home on October 1, 2025 at the age of 92.

He was born in Vergennes Vermont, the son of Phillip Dawson and Ethel (Palmer) Dawson. Larry is survived by his children Heidi (Mike pre-deceased), Dennis (pre-deceased Betty), Jerry (Cathy), Carmen (Bob), Alan, Pam (pre-deceased Frank), his brothers Phillip (Betty-Sue), David (Rhonda), and his sister Leanne (pre-deceased Ron). Larry was pre-deceased by his wife of 69 years Mary.

Larry was an accountant by trade, who in his later career worked and retired from IBM. Larry and his wife Mary enjoyed and spent many years and many trips traveling the United States after retirement. When they had fulfilled their travel desires, they relocated to warmer weather in Franklin Springs GA. Larry spent many hours in his garage/wood shop making doll furniture, birdhouses and small furniture for family members. Larry was handy and could fix almost anything.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th at 11am at Holy Family Church, Essex Jct. VT, followed by light refreshments.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 237 East Avenue, Burlington VT 05401-3412 (802-658-0649).

Mary L. Dawson - died peacefully at home on February 1, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born in Wolcott, Vermont the daughter of Albert and Lillian Courchaine.

Mary is survived by her children Heidi (Mike pre-deceased), Dennis (pre-deceased Betty), Jerry (Cathy), Carmen (Bob), Alan, Pam (pre-deceased Frank), her brother Mike Courchaine her brother in laws Phillip (Betty-Sue), David (Rhonda), and her sister in law Leanne (pre-deceased Ron).

Mary was a stay at home mother while her children were growing up. She then worked and retired from IBM. In her retirement years she spent many years and many trips traveling the United States with her husband. Once they had fulfilled their travel desires, they relocated to warmer weather in Franklin Springs GA. Mary spent many hours in her sewing room making curtains, and altering clothing for family members. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th at 11am at Holy Family Church, Essex Jct. VT, followed by light refreshments.
