Lawrence "Larry" Ecker, of Syracuse, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Born August 28, 1946 to the late Lysle and Maralyn (Johnson) Ecker.

Following graduation from APW Central School he attended barber school and then enlisted into the Navy. Upon completing his service, he eventually became the owner and operator of Larry's Barbershop in Pulaski, NY. He belonged to the Russell-Tryon American Legion Post #1435 in Altmar, NY and the Constantia VFW. As an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish, he was a member of the Northshore Sportsman's Club, and the Bluff Hill Club.

Surviving family members include his wife, Mary Ann Ecker; children, Christine Ecker and Andrew (Kerri) Ecker; granddaughters, Ashlyn and Giovanna; grandson, Aidan; sisters, Judith Faulkner, Linda Burkholder, and Jeanne (John) Wall; brother Bill (Terry) Ecker, sister-in-law, Linda Ecker; and along with several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Larry is predeceased by his brother Robert Ecker; sister, Elaine Pretory; and brothers-in-law, Leigh Faulkner and Stanley Pretory.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, June 3, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main Street, Central Square, NY 13036.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a contribution in Larry's name to the Russell-Tryon American Legion Post #1435, PO Box 412, Altmar, NY 13302; Rock Steady Boxing, PO Box 353, Tully, NY 13159; or to empowerparkinson.org.
