Lawrence E. Forshee, 73, of Groton, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 30, 2025.
Larry was born on December 4, 1951 in Cortland, a son of the late Robert and Geraldine (Crissey) Forshee. He was a graduate of Groton Central School, Class of 1970, and retired after 37 years with Pall Trinity Micro in Cortland.
Larry loved working on his yard and iPad, and in his younger years, he enjoyed basketball in the St. Mary's League and was an avid pool player.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Welch) Forshee; his children Jason, Arin, Ashley and Tyler Forshee; step-children: Nathan (Martha), Jennifer, Jessica, and Nichole (Robert) Snyder; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Vivian Forshee; a special cousin, Kevin Holley; and a special brother-in-law, Wayne Welch, all of whom live in the Groton-Cortland area.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, David Forshee.
A celebration will be held at his home later in the summer. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the SPCA of Tompkins County, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850 (www.spcaonline.com), or to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (https://www.stjude.org).
