Lawrence Donald Gorbutt

GORBUTT, Lawrence Donald  Age 77, of Fenton, died Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 2 PM Friday, December 12, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be from 2-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home where a Moose Lodge Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM. Mr. Gorbutt was born March 8, 1926 in Flint, the son of Floyd and Florence Mae (Kline) Gorbutt. He married Betty Jean Landberg on July 2, 1949 in Columbus, IN and she preceded him in death on March 28, 1998. Mr. Gorbutt was an electrician in the construction industry for many years. He was the foreman of construction on the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel and Auto World. Mr. Gorbutt was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union # 948, Eagles Club and the Moose Lodge. Surviving are: three children, Barry and wife, Leanne of Traverse City, Linda and husband, Dr. Richard Scavo of Farmington Hills, John and wife, Nannette of Pontiac; four grandchildren, Erica, Kimberly, Alyssa and Alayna; two brothers-in-law, Bill ONeal of Elizabethtown, IN, Jack Landberg and wife, Marge of Long Beach, CA; sister-in-law, Helen Malicoat of Pomona Park, FL.
