Lawrence S. Hanson

June 14, 1941 - January 10, 2026

Lawrence Hanson was born in The Bronx and lived his childhood years in Brooklyn and Wading River, New York. He was a long-time resident of Oyster Bay Cove, NY and Chicago, IL and recently moved to Arroyo Grande, CA. Lawrence graduated from St. Leonard's Academy in Brooklyn and earned a B.S. degree from Pace University. A Certified Financial Planner, he also received an Executive Award from the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management at the Tuck School of Business Administration of Dartmouth College. He served in the United States Navy, stationed in the Pentagon and Munich, Germany. After the Navy, he embarked on a successful banking career as a Senior Vice President, European American Bank; Executive Vice President, Flushing Savings Bank; and Senior Managing Director, Citibank Private Bank. "Larry" enjoyed golf, the Arts and extensive travel with Camille, his loving wife of 56 years. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Christina Slimack, Laura Ryan and Caroline Fleenor; and four granddaughters.
