In Loving Memory of Lawrence "Larry" Narkiewicz Sr. April 19, 1951 – June 6, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence "Larry" Narkiewicz Sr. on June 6, 2025, at the age of 74. Larry was a beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal brother, and dear friend to many.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Arlene, with whom he built a beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering dedication. He was the cherished father of Larry (Kelly) Narkiewicz and Paul Narkiewicz, and the proudest grandpa to Cooper and Casey Narkiewicz, who were the lights of his life.
A U.S. Army veteran and a hard working member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 80 for over 40 years, Larry embodied loyalty, humility, and pride in a job well done. Yet, his greatest fulfillment didn't come from overtime hours - it came from the baseball field, coaching his sons with passion and joy, often turning down extra shifts just to be there. In later years, nothing made him prouder than coaching alongside the very boys he once coached. After retirement, Larry embraced the things he loved most: golfing with friends and family, spending time outdoors, and, above all, spoiling his grandchildren with love, treats, and his signature sense of humor. Larry is also survived by his brothers, Gerald Narkiewicz and Francis Janes. His laugh was unmistakable, his jokes unforgettable, and his love unconditional. Whether on the field, in the shop, or at home with his family, Larry left an imprint that will never fade. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory lives on in every swing of a bat, every perfectly grilled burger, every belly laugh shared, and in the hearts of those lucky enough to call him husband, dad, grandpa, or friend.
Rest easy, Coach. Your legacy lives on.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27th, 2025 from 5 PM to 10 PM at Mamma Mia's located at 27770 Plymouth Rd., Livonia, MI 48150 **Please RSVP to Arlene Narkiewicz by June 20th.** To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Lawrence, please visit our floral store.
