Lawrence Edward Perry, age 73, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on October 5, 2025, with his wife by his side.
Born on June 15, 1952, in Queens, New York, to Lawrence and Evelyn Perry (née Becker), he later moved with his family to Loveland, where he graduated from Loveland High School in 1970.
On October 23, 1976, Lawrence married Carry Rutten at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Parish in Loveland. They would have celebrated 49 years of marriage this fall. Together, they built a life filled with love, resilience, and adventure. In 1976, they survived the Big Thompson Flood, spending the night on the roof as floodwaters tore through the canyon, a story they would share for decades.
Lawrence worked as a master electrician, retiring from Rocky Flats before running his own business, Perry Electric, LLC. After retiring fully, he and Carry explored the western United States in their motorhome, visiting family and enjoying the outdoors he loved so much.
A passionate fly fisherman, Lawrence found peace on the water and joy in teaching his son and grandchildren to fish. His favorite waters were in Wyoming and Alaska. A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, he proudly celebrated their first Super Bowl victory in 1998.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Carry; children, Lauren, Adam, and Kaitlin; grandchildren, Colin and William, Judah, Johanna and Eva, and Elle and Mason; his sister, Sheila, and her husband, Rex Berg; a large extended family; and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Foundations Church, 1380 N. Denver Ave., Loveland, Colorado, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date at Loveland Burial Park.
