Lawrence Roberson

Mr. Lawrence Roberson entered this world May 16, 1945. He was born to Ms. Ella Mae Roberson of Waynesboro, GA. Lawrence transitioned from this life to Glory on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. At an early age, he accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior and was baptized at Thomas Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Deacon Board. Lawrence was also a member of the Savage Skulls Social Club.
Lawrence attended the Public Schools of Burke County and graduated from Waynesboro High and Industrial School in 1964. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at International Paper Company until his retirement in January 2007.
His hobbies included cooking, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Pearl Roberson, sisters, Connie, Carolyn, Jennie, Shirley and his brothers James, Charles and Carl.
His memories will live on through his four children: Stephanie (Gary) Winfrey, Roderick (Dondrea) Roberson, LeVar (Antoinette) Roberson; Tosha Sherman-Jones, twelve grandchildren: Chaddrick (Emily) Parrish, Taylor Winfrey, Roderick Roberson Jr., JaQuana Jones, Logan Roberson, Tyquan Roberson, Kelsey Roberson, Zandyn Roberson, Keilauna Gibbons, Herbert Gibbons III, Erin Jones and Johnnie Paul Jones Jr.; three Great Grandchildren: Nyla, Charleigh and Roderick III, Three Goddaughters: Raymetreia Booker, Deena Jones-Sams and Alicia Regina Golphin; his beloved great Niece Madison Bryant; three sisters: Barbara, Eleanor and Queen and one brother, Willie Moses and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
