Lawrence J. Rosso

Lawrence J. Rosso, 95, of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on June 29, 1930, in the Bronx, Larry lived a life defined by devotion-devotion to family, to faith, and to doing what was right. An Army veteran, Lar carried on his habit of serving others for his entire life.
Larry worked in the airline industry for most of his career. First as an airline mechanic and later as a flight engineer-a role that reflected both his skill and his steady sense of responsibility. Later in life he continued to work with the same quiet determination completing his career as a letter carrier.
A member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Yonkers, NY. Larry was known for his great sense of humor, strong sense of duty, and deep love for his family.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 68 years, Jeanne. His son, Larry and his wife Lisa and his son, John and his wife Catherine. Larry had eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many friends and family who loved him dearly.
The family will be present on Sunday, December 28th, 2025 from 3-7 PM at Ruggiero & Sons, Funeral Home & Cremation Services - 732 Yonkers Avenue - Yonkers, New York 10704. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, December 29th, 2025 at Saint John the Baptist Church - 670 Yonkers Avenue - Yonkers, New York 10704. Following the Mass, Lawrence will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Ferncliff Cemetery - 280 Secor Road- Hartsdale, New York 10530.
