Theresa Tamborski Codola

Theresa Tamborski Codola ascended into the Heavens on March 4, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 24, 1938, to Stanley and Elizabeth Yandora Tamborski. After graduating from St. Joseph's College, she began her career working for the Port Authority of New York.

On August 26, 1961, she married Frank Cosmo Codola, and together they resided in New York City before relocating to Yonkers, New York, in 1973. Theresa was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Scarsdale, New York, where she served as both a Eucharistic Minister and a lector.

A true New Yorker, she continued to travel the Metro and subways into her seventies to enjoy live theater, opera, and ballet in Manhattan. She also had an adventurous spirit, embracing experiences such as riding camels in Egypt, ziplining in Kauai, riding in hot air balloons in the Hudson Valley, taking helicopter tours in Hawaii and Alaska, dogsledding on an Alaskan glacier, and parasailing over the Gulf of Mexico.

In 2017, she relocated to Bradenton, Florida, to be closer to her family.

Theresa was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Yandora Tamborski; her son, Francis Gerard Codola; her father, Stanley Tamborski; her husband, Frank Cosmo Codola; and her sister, Eleanor Tamborski Laski.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Codola; her grandson, Kyle Crum and his wife Hannah; her great-grandson, Cooper Crum; and generations of nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 2850 75th St W, Bradenton, Florida 34209, on April 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
