Lea'Ann Gfeller Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 3, 2025.
Lea'Ann Gfeller, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 54 years young. She was born Valentine's Day, February 14, 1970, in Long Beach, California, to Charles Leroy and Kathy Ann (Baker) Gfeller.
Having a disabled sibling is a club shared by very few people that gives blessings no one else can understand. My sister Lea'Ann was a Valentine's Day baby and the date could not be anymore fitting for her; as she was always full of joy and love. She was so accepting of everyone with the biggest heart and you couldn't help but love her. In fact; I don't think she ever met a stranger. Everyone was a friend to her, because you couldn't help but find her love for life infectious. I can't begin to tell you how many life lessons my sweet sister Lea'Ann taught me. I wish everyone had a sister as amazing as mine.
Preceded in death by her father Charles "Leroy" Gfeller and mother Kathy Ann Gfeller. Survived by her sister Carla Pennington, brother-in-law John Pennington, loving nieces Sidney Morgan and Kenzie Pennington, nephew Cooper Pennington, as well as the team of amazing caretakers that have nurtured and loved her through this difficult years. We will forever be grateful to Marlene Bustamante who loved Lea'Ann like a sister over these difficult past ten years and she has become family to us. She sat beside our beloved Lea'Ann as she made her journey home when we couldn't be there; singing to her as she passed. I can't begin to tell you what a blessing that was.
