null Leach Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weeks' Funeral Homes - Buckley on Jan. 7, 2026.
Larry (JR) Leach was born on October 21, 1965, in Enumclaw, WA, and passed on January 4, 2026.

JR's passions revolved around music, art, family and friends. He was a vocalist extraordinaire, definitely inheriting his "golden vocal cord" from his father Larry Leach Sr. Not only was he an amazing singer, he was a dedicated musician sharing his love playing guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, ukulele, mandolin and banjo.

JR spent countless hours perfecting his talent playing for many bands like Kingsfoil, Out on the Tiles, Dirtbox Jr, Stella Riders and his favorite The Leach Mob to name a few. He also shared his amazing vocal talents hosting Karaoke for many years at The New Peking. He made friends with everybody that got on the mic. He also mentored friends that wanted to play guitar, sing or help wherever he could.

The arts were among his favorite interests. He loved photography, editing photos in Photoshop, building miniature scale models and drawing for hours. JR's last project was a Santa Sleigh for Jenny's Christmas present. He loved doing anything creative and was naturally good at everything he shared a passion for. He loved entertaining anyone who had his attention and saying he was funny or humorous is an understatement. Whether it's being Santa Claus for Christmas or just joking around, you know you could count on him to liven things up.

JR was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia (Diane) Leach in 1983. He is survived by his father, Larry Leach Sr., (Candy). Son Zachary, daughter Hayli Alexander and granddaughter, Ruby Rose Alexander. Sisters Deb Jack, Jenny Lovell (Greg), Sam Culver (Mike) and brothers Jim Jack (Becky), John Jack (Gaye), Gary Jack (DK), Bill Leach, Joe Leach (Tammy). Extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Renee Schunke whose friendship over the years, and especially this past year, meant so much to him.

JR's family invites you to a musical celebration of his life on March 21 at the Buckley Eagles from 1-4 pm. Please share your memories, stories, and photographs on his memorial page. Each remembrance serves as a note in the symphony of his life, helping us keep his spirit alive and his memory vibrant. Whether it's a tale of his creativity, his compassion, or his generosity, each anecdote helps paint a fuller picture of the man we knew and loved. So, let's band together, just as JR would have wanted, and compose the most beautiful tribute to him.
